The endless options tinned fish bowl.

AKA my lunch/dinner 3x per week.

I’m using @porthosbrand tuna in olive oil today to show you the hands down best pantry lunch possible.

You can sub with your favorite flavors, but in my mind this rice bowl is an example of how with tinned fish on hand you can have a super satisfying meal come together in minutes. I eat a version of this several times a week, and I always end up feeling like I cheated the system somehow because it’s so fulfilling.

I have the below items on hand 100% of the time. All of the fridge items keep for a while in the fridge so I never have to think about if I have something or not.

Fridge items:
-avocado (I keep them in the fridge once they are ripe and they last forever without turning)
-green onions
-microgreens
-rice (I like the microwaveable little tubs of sticky rice and then I season it with rice vinegar but any rice on hand will work. If you like to make your rice in a pot congrats knock yourself out!)
-mayo
-tube of wasabi
-soy sauce

Pantry items:
-tinned fish (I particularly like smoked options in a bowl like this but anything truly works)
-fried shallots in a jar (make life easy!)
-nuts/seeds
-sheets of nori

Pro tip don’t mix the wasabi & mayo before putting it in the bowl and you are bound to get a few super hits of wasabi that pop up once you’ve mixed everything together.

Also something spicy would be great in this… that’s just not my jam.

Enjoy and let me know if you try a version!
