When you crack this tin you can see that it’s cod liver in oil. The incredible part is that all of the oil is actually oil that is naturally expressed from the cod liver during the canning process. Just a pinch of salt and there is nothing else in the can.

I like to enjoy these just like I would foie gras: spread on very toasted bread (grilled is even better) and either a fruit jam for sweet, or pickled onions for savory.
