Fangst Limfjord Cockles
From Fangst:
“In the Danish inlet Limfjorden, the natural conditions are particularly good for cockles. Here they aquire a mild, light salty taste, and a firm meat structure. Most of them are shipped off to foreign kitchens but some we keep for ourselves. To preserve their delicate taste, we have added only cold pressed rapeseed oil to these Fangst cockles.”
Fangst is a Danish conserva producer focusing on highlighting beautiful Nordic seafood and bringing back the Scandinavian canning industry that was prevalent 100 years ago. They are very small team (2!) that focuses on quality in everything they do. If you were at the first Tinned Fish Club Las Vegas meetup at the Silver Stamp you were lucky enough to try all of Fangst’s delicious offerings. We’re so stoked to be selling almost all of them here in Vegas now.
We love these cockles on roasted garlic & rosemary soudough with butter & capers, or substitute these for clams in your favorite pasta with clams recipe!
Ingredients: Cockles, cold pressed rapeseed oil, salt
Net wt: 110g
